MERRY CHRISTMAS! HAPPY CHANUKAH! JOLLY JESUS DAY!
I
Thought I would drop everyone a line and let you know we made it safely
from Kansas City to Moravian Falls. Thank you everyone for helping us
pack and load and watch kids. We could not have done it without you!! It
was quite an adventure getting here since it rained every day that we
were driving. Along the way we stopped and spent a couple of nights at
Scott and Kelly Beauchamp in Springfield, Illinois. This was a great way
to break up the trip and get loved on by old friends. Plus we got to
hang with the amazing Rachel B, Levi Ferguson, and Katie Temple. Then we
drove to Indiana to visit with Brandon's Mom and Dad. We didn't think
we would make it back there for Christmas so it was so great to see them
all.
Then
we did a huge push of 10 hours to Moravain Falls. The whole trip took
longer because we had to drive slower with the truck. It was a beautiful
drive through the mountains, but if it wasn't for a pack of gum and
coffee I might not have made it. The lovely Jean Morrison helped us
unload the truck. David Hofshi came the next day to help with the Larger
items.
It
was a bit surreal to be back and only in the last few days have I
really felt "home" again. The kids are in a routine, We are mostly
unpacked, and we went for a climb up Stone Mountain with Jean and Jared.
We've also scoped out the local scene =) LOL....which now incudes a
Chick fil-a, and a really nice new Lowes grocery. I haven't gone inside
but i've seen the tractor supply, a new Donut Shop, and heibett sports
are here too. So our little Wilkesboro is growing up. I also got to go
in to Talia's coffee and chat briefly with Kathy Kozak and I am looking
forward to connecting with her and Jim again.
Well
I think thats all, oh wait one more thing that is Super Sweet. We were
not going to be able to go to Indiana for Christmas and Brandon and I
were bummed. Then last night I had a dream that Suzy and Merle
(brandon's mom and her husband) came to surprise us here in Moravian
Falls. I woke up wishing it could be so. Then when Brandon checked his
voicemail his mom had left a message saying they were going to come
visit us for a few days right after Christmas. We hadn't told them we
couldn't come but somehow they must have just known. So we are very
excited for that and feel God's grace and provision.
Also,
when we got here we didn't have any couches since we sold them to get
money for the move. Chuck Mervin called us and had a bunch of extra
couches wondering if we needed any. YES! He brought us a couple and they
are very comfy!
Right now we are praying brandon gets a job and that we can get our land logged and cleared (to farm on).
David Hofshi and Brandon are going to take a Organic Certification
class in January which teaches everything we will need to know.
Thank
you all for loving us and being such a beautiful Family to us. Our
bodies may be distant but our hearts are with you always!! Lots of Love
and blessings coming your way. Have a great time with your loved ones as
we all celebrate Jesus.
